High schools teach students about the dangers of drugs and cigarettes–why are they so quiet about the dangers of student loan debt? College is an investment–all investments involve RISK. College is the riskiest investment you can make because you cannot declare bankruptcy on student loan debt. Even Suze Orman has backed off from saying that student loans are “good” debt. We are in the Depression of 2009 and probably a great job won’t be waiting for you when you graduate.

As for Indians…they now are able to open casinos and raise Billions of Dollars for their needs. Every country has been conquered in the history of Empires…that doesn’t make it right or wrong: it’s just a fact!
The Indians were not a peaceful group of natives; they fought and killed each other routinely.

quadruple the gas tax to 80 cents to be more in line with europe and there will be more money for college tuition subsidies and pension support. biggest mistake ever – cheap fuel policy in america, it has killed the big three by leaving them high and dry when fuel prices skyrocketed. it will happen again.

You’re not going to fool anyone who went to a decent school when you mention the Ivy League alongside Community Colleges omitting ALL THOSE SCHOOLS that are in the middle.
Going to a good school still makes a difference. A bigger problem though is the bureaucracies that sometimes raise tuition at 6x the inflation rate. Those la-las could use a smack of reality. =) These days though it’s more about what you can do with what you know than simply what you know. -
Shut up TROLL!

Community college and State University education = working in retail these days.

Isn’t there community colleges to go to!
Why are people trying to go to private colleges, when a state colleges works just as well.
Why are americans willing to waste money, when they can get the same result much cheaper and efficient. You don’t need to go to stanford, yale, etc. community colleges work just fine. But then again Americans have ego issues, they think they are “somebody” just because they paid over 100K just to get their BA/BS. -
USA worst place for college
Get your education in another country!!!

I heard studying in Europe can be great. According to the NY Times, college life in Europe is less affordable than here in the US.
